Larenim Park
Larenim Park, located in Burlington, WV, is a 373-acre recreational gem owned by the Mineral County Commission and operated by Parks and Recreation. This expansive park offers a variety of outdoor activities for visitors of all ages and interests.

Soccer Fields: 3 regulation-size fields perfect for both casual play and organized games.

Ballfields: 4 fields (2 Little League, 2 Softball fields with interchange bases for Junior League and Men's Softball) designed for local leagues and community events.

Pavilions: 2 rentable pavilions, ideal for hosting picnics, gatherings, and celebrations.

Fishing: A 5-acre flood control dam stocked by the West Virginia Division of Natural Resources (WVDNR), offering excellent fishing opportunities, as well as a second unstocked flood control dam.

Hunting: Open to public hunting through a permit system available at the Parks and Recreation office, providing an opportunity for hunters to enjoy the natural surroundings.

Trails: Approximately 5 miles of scenic trails for hiking, walking, and exploring the beautiful landscape.

Public Hunting
Mineral County Parks and Recreation Hunting Rules
You must obtain a permit from the MCPR office for hunting access
Mineral County Parks and Recreation, Larenim Park, offers a wide variety of public uses including, hiking, fishing, hunting, sporting fields, amphitheater, and an arboretum. In order to create a safe and enjoyable environment for all visitors, we ask hunters to review and comply with our hunting policies and guidelines. Failure to adhere to regulations and rules will result in suspension of hunting privileges, or citation by local law enforcement.
Hunting Rules and Regulations:

Hunters must possess a valid WV hunting license and comply with all applicable WV hunting rules and regulations at all times. Hunters must also obtain a valid Mineral County Parks and Recreation Hunting Permit and carry it with them while hunting on Larenim property at all times.

No permanent tree stands are allowed. Hunters may use a temporary stand while they are hunting but it must be removed when not in use.

No target shooting, practice, or gun ranges are permitted on Mineral County Parks and Recreation property. Be sure of your target and shoot to make an ethical kill. Indiscriminate or wild shooting will not be tolerated.

Drinking alcohol or using controlled substances is not allowed on MCPR property.

Hunting is not allowed in the restricted map area or within 500 feet of any scheduled event. Hunters are responsible for checking the event calendar for scheduled events.

No camping, no fires, littering or dumping waste on the property.

You are responsible for knowing the boundary of the property you are hunting. You can obtain a copy of the map by contacting the Mineral County Parks and Recreation office directly.

Be SEEN and be SAFE- We encourage you to wear orange at all times however it is not required for waterfowl and turkey hunting

Hunters will be encouraged to return a survey at the conclusion of the hunting season.
Please remember that you are sharing the woods with other recreation users, be courteous and smart. Do not put yourself or another in an unsafe situation.

Pavilion Rental at Larenim Park
Looking for the perfect spot to host your next event? Larenim Park offers two pavilions available for rent at an affordable rate, ideal for family gatherings, parties, picnics, and other special occasions.

Large Pavilion: Located at the soccer complex, this spacious pavilion is perfect for larger events. It includes charcoal grills for your convenience, but please remember to bring your own charcoal and utensils.

Small Pavilion: Situated near the Little League fields and playground, this pavilion is great for smaller gatherings, especially if you have young children enjoying the playground nearby.

Cost: $50 for the pavilion rental
While we do reserve the pavilions for your event, please keep in mind that Larenim Park is a public space, so other activities like sporting events or leisurely park use may still be happening nearby.
